Newly appointed Governor to Northern Province N. Vedanayagan assumed duties today at the Governor's Secretariat, Jaffna.
Governor Vedanayagan, who was one time District Secretary of Jaffna told media after assuming the duties that he accepted President Anura Kumara Dissanayake's request as he hoped that new administration under him will carryout reforms and clean corruption within the state governance.
"I witness there is a change and the President wants to lead a corruption free country in future. We are hopeful to get rid of corruption and strengthen livelihood of the people as we move forward," Governor Vedanayahan said. (Northeastern Monitor/ Sep 27/2024)
