Jaffna youth detained for trying to leave with fake visa

 

A 23-year-old Jaffna youth was taken into custody on Friday by officials of the Immigration Department for trying to leave the country using a fake visa.

The youth from Valvettithurai was about to board a Chennai-bound transit flight when he was taken into custody by Immigration Department officials. 

The Immigration Department officials found a fake visa in his hand luggage that he intended to use from the transit point, according to the Immigration officials.
