Mullaithivu based journalist K. Kumanan has been summoned by the Terrorism Investigation Department (TID) to record a statement.
Accordingly, he is instructed to appear at Alambil police station on August 17 at 10.00 am.
As an independent photojournalist, Kumanan has been reporting and documenting the ongoing post war struggles by Tamil community for land, enforced disappearances and recently at Chemmani mass gravesite excavation activities as well. (Northeastern Monitor/ August 7/ 2025)
