Protesting mother of enforced disappeared summoned in Batticaloa by CTID

Batticaloa Coordinator of the Association for Relatives of the Enforced Disappeared Persons (North-East)  Amalraj Amalanayaki has been summoned to appear before the Counter-Terrorism Investigation Division(CTID) office today. 


She has been instructed to present herself at the CTID regional office in Kallady, Batticaloa. 


Over fifteen years, Ms Amalanayaki has been protesting along with mothers in the district demanding answers on the whereabouts of her husband who was made to disappear during the wartime period. (Northeastern Monitor/ July 29/2024)
