AKD visit to North: Jaffna Courts rejects police move to secure order against protest




 The Jaffna Magistrate Court today rejected a police motion seeking to secure an order against protest in view of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake’s visit to North tomorrow. 


Five individuals representing the Union of Unemployed Graduates in North, Movement for Voiceless and Ex cadres Federation were named as organisers of the protest by the police before the court yesterday. 


The Court directed those individuals to submit their arguments before the court today. After considering the arguments put forwarded els representing them, the Court refused to issue the order on the basis that any individual has the right to express his political rights within the framework of the Constitution.
