Thousands of Hindu devotees from across the island and diaspora gathered today to take part in the chariot festival of the iconic Nallur Kandaswamy temple, Jaffna.
The annual 25-day-long festival is currently underway. With the final Theerthotsavam festival tomorrow, the festival will see its closure. To take part in the festival, thousands of devotees from diaspora communities in European countries are currently visisting Jaffna as well. (Pixs by I. Sivashanthan)
