Vadduvaakal bridge in Mullaithivu district badly damaged restricting access to Puthukkudiyiruppu city for over three days due to severe flooding.
As an alternative route, those who want to enter Mullaithivu from Puthukkudiyirrupu can use Keppapulavu road.
District Secretary A. Umamakeswaran visited the site along with officials of District Management Centre (DMC) today.
Instructions are issued to repair the bridge at the earliest with the support of Road Development Authority (RDA) as well. (Northeastern Monitor/ December 1/2025)
