88 feet tall Buddha statue declared open in Nainathivu

 

The newly built 88 feet tall Lord Buddha statue was declared open in Nainatheevu Rajamaha Vihara on Sunday (May 10). 

A newly built 88 feet tall Lord Buddha statue was declared open on Sunday at Nainathivu Rajamaha Vihara with the participation of Buddhist monks and devotees brought from South. 

The devotees who were brought from South along with monks in buses took part in the religious ceremony after worshipping at Nagapoosany Amman Kovil. Thereafter, they marched towards the Buddhist shrine and engaged in prayers.
